Hinsh leaves Crawley to join Pompey

Crawley Town chief scout Martin Hinshelwood has left to take up similar role at Portsmouth, where he will be reunited with manager Richie Barker and Steve Coppell.

Reds manager John Gregory has already lined up a replacement for Hinsh, who took charge of First Team duties for one match at Crewe when Barker was sacked in November.

Gregory said: “Hinsh is based on the south coast and obviously he was brought to our club by Richie Barker and Steve Coppell, who are now at Portsmouth of course.

“In my short time working with Martin he has always been extremely professional and I wish him all the best for the future.”

The club will announce a new chief scout soon.
