Miller hits a treble as Reds ease through in Senior Cup

Shaun Miller fired a hat-trick as Crawley Town eased into the quarter-finals on the Sussex Senior Cup last night.

The loan striker netted a ten-minute treble as a strong Reds side blew away County League side Eastbourne United with a 5-1 victory at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.

Lanre Oyebanjo opened the scoring withing ten minutes with his first goal for the club as he cut in front the right and fired home a powerful shot.

Miller, making his full debut, then hit a quick-fire treble starting with heading home Lewis Young cross on 27 minutes.

The Coventry man then side-footed home Gavin Tomlin’s cross on 33 minutes, before volleying his third four minutes later after Jimmy Smith’s hot was saved.

The visitors netted a consolation with ten minutes left as Baulo Camara side-footed the ball into the far corner.

The home side were to have the final say, however, as Sonny Bradley finished Conor Henderson’s corner from ten yards three minutes later.
