The midfielder only played in five games during his loan from Swindon Town two years ago when Crawley were managed by Richie Barker.

“It’s almost a case of unfinished business if you like because when I was here before I don’t think I started a game.

“I had a very good meeting with Mark (Yates) and Jimmy (Dack). I think I play my best football as a central midfielder and that’s the role they want me to play so I am delighted to be here and part of what they are trying to achieve.

“I’m looking forward to being back for pre-season next week and getting ready for the new season.”
