VIDEO: John Gregory - We could have played even better

Crawley Town manager John Gregory reckoned his team could have played even better than they did after sealing a surprise 3-2 victory away to league leaders Leyton Orient.

He said goalkeeper Paul Jones had little to do all game and his players showed a great attitude.

Gregory said: “We all want success for Crawley. I’m here to try to encourage that and give people confidence and hopefully improve the team and make players better.

“We can actually be better than we were today. We could have been 5-1 up at one stage. We did have a lot of domination and created all the opportunities. Our goalkeeper has only had to field a few set-pieces which is very pleasing.

“It was a great attitude by our players. We got to carry this on though. The game has to be forgotten quickly and just used as a reference.

“We go into a very difficult game against MK Dons on Boxing Day and then we’ve got Notts County three days later.

“We’ve got a small squad and have got to make sure we look after the players betweeen games.”
