But he has impressed in the win over AFC Wimbledon and the 1-1 draw at Colchester United.

He said: ""It's been a tough couple of months for myself. It's about keeping yourself fit and mentally strong and being ready for when that time pops up to come in and play your part."

The Reds have played a back three with Dallison lining up with Tony Craig and Jordan Tunnicliffe in the last two games. And Dallison said it's down to the flexibility of the squad that they are able to try different formations.

He said: "We have got a squad now that is quite flexible in the formations we can play. We have gone through a number of formations already this season. I wouldn't say we were set on a certain formation at the moment. It's just we have got that in the squad that we can chop and change when we need to."

And on the point at Colchester, he said: "We could have got more and we had our chances to win the game. There's plenty of positives to take from Saturday and the last two games we have been building and building. We could have won the game but we take the point and move on."
