Tilley told of his teammates' delight as his 93rd minute winner gave Crawley all three points for the first time since January 2.

"We're delighted to get back to winning ways," said Tilley. "It's been a tough couple of weeks, but that shows the character in the changing room to get back winning.

"I think it's getting that belief back and confidence. We all know we've got good players."

After a run of five home matches without a win, Crawley looked to be making it six before Tilley calmly slotted home to break the deadlock after a wonderful bit of play down the right by Tom Nichols.

"Getting a last-minute winner is the best feeling in the world," he stated. "I was eager to get on and help the team get the win. Obviously, on my weaker foot, I just tried to get over the ball and guide it into the corner.

"It's been a tough couple of weeks. Thankfully, it has fallen to us in the last minute and we get back on the winning run."

The last minute goal was a composed finish, as Tilley, who was born in Billingshurst, secured the win and in doing so registered his first goal for the Reds.

On Tuesday evening, Tilley heads with Crawley to former club Grimsby Town, who are currently bottom of League Two. Three points will be vital as Crawley start to look up and perhaps towards the play-off places.

"That's what we want to push for [play-offs] and to challenge to go up," Tilley emphasised. "I want to go up there [Grimsby] and win. That's the main aim."
