Crunch week for United

United’s next three games are all against teams in the bottom four of Ryman Football League Division One South, theoretically offering them an ideal opportunity to rediscover some form.

The U’s, who have lost three of their last four games, will host Corinthian-Casuals today (Saturday) before travelling to Crawley Down Gatwick on Tuesday night and neighbours Eastbourne Town next Saturday.

“I would sooner be playing the top three,” said United manager Terry White. “We’re in a lose, lose situation. If we go out there and beat Corinthian 4-0 it will be ‘you should beat them’.

“We need a result of some description. We’ve just got to grind out a result against somebody and come into the dressing room after the game with that winning feeling again.”

Andy Henson is struggling with a tight groin as fifth-placed United prepare to take on a Corinthian side which had won three games on the spin before losing twice to Hythe Town over the past week.
