The Robins have struggled in the first half of the campaign and sit 17th in the table with just three wins all season.

Former boss Dave John stepped down as boss earlier this month and Dalgleish and Phil Wickwar have taken joint charge.

And Dalgleish is sure that his side will be playing County League Division 1 Football next season.

He said: “I have every confidence in the squad that we have that we can stay in this league.

“The first half of the season has been a bit of a struggle but I’m sure we can turn it around.

“We have a very young side with an average age of around 22 so it is going to take time for them to adapt to this league.

“But in the last few weeks I have seen a vast improvement in the side, it is time for all the players and stuff to really get stuck in and make sure that we secure our place in this league.”

Hassock’s form of late has improved and they have picked up four points from their last three matches.

Robins boss Dalgleish knows it is vital that his side start the new year with some positive results.

He added: “I think that the start to the new year is really important for us.

“If we can pick up a couple of victories in the first few weeks in January that will breed confidence throughout the squad.

“We have tried to play football in the right way all year and that will continue under myself and Phil.

“It would be easy for us just to change our game plan because results are not going the way that we want but we want to win matches playing in the right way.

“Hopefully we can pick up some vital wins early on this year and kick on up the table.”
