Lewes have poached Peacehaven manager Darren Freeman.

Freeman was announced today (Tuesday) as the new first team manager at the Dripping Pan and replaced former boss Steve Brown who tendered his resignation last month.

Freeman, 42, joined Peacehaven just three months ago but opted for a move back to Lewes - a club he played for as a youngster.

The former Albion player and Whitehawk manager had applied for the Lewes job earlier this year but the Ryman League Premier club opted for ex-Ebbsfleet boss Brown.

Freeman will now get his chance to impress and his first game in charge will be at Grays Athletic on Saturday.

He will be joined in the dugout by former Lewes goalkeeper Ross Standen.
