Peacehaven & Telscombe 3s – 1 – 1 Ringmer AFC 3s

Ringmer 3s travelled to Peacehaven & Telscombe 3s at the weekend, hoping to halt a losing a three-game losing streak. Ringmer started brightly missing a number of chances in the opening exchanges and were made to pay for not taking at least one, when Peacehaven took the lead midway through the half.

More chances followed for both sides as the game progressed with Ringmer keeper, Jack Tuffin, saving well on two occasions as Peacehaven broke the Ringmer backline in second half. Ringmer were once again wasteful with their chances, with numerous attempts going begging either from poor finishing or good stops from the Peacehaven keeper.

It looked as though Ringmer's losing streak would continue until the 88th minute when a fumble by the Peacehaven keeper allowed Joshua Dean to smash home the equaliser. Ringmer should have won the game, with the very last kick, as Ben Gardner blazed over from a yard out. Losing streak ended with hard earned point.

Ringmer AFC Veterans 4-2 Withdean Youth Veterans

Ringmer Vets put themselves up into third place in the Mid Sussex Veterans Plate table with a good win against a competitive Withdean side. Ringmer were in their stride early with strikers Marc Whiteman and Dale Tranter creating numerous chances but they had to wait until midway through first half to break deadlock, with Paul Coppard heading in from close range.

Ringmer were soon denied a second goal when MoM Mark Hutchings tapped into from close range only to see the linesman flag raised for earlier offside in the move. The second goal followed before halftime with Marc Whiteman turning in for 2-0.

Ringmer started sloppily in the second half allowing Withdean back into the game at 2-1 but recovered quickly when Hutchings was fouled on edge of box allowing Chris Callow to curl home great free kick. Once again Ringmer allowed Withdean back into game at 3-2 but late goal from Stu Porter secured the Ringmer win.
