Donnelly leaves East Preston

Donnelly took over in October after Dominic Di Paola and his management team joined Ryman League South Division club Hastings.

EP finished the season 11th in Sussex County League Division 1 and EP football chairman Terry Doyle said: “On behalf of the committee, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Sammy, who joined us at a very difficult period and worked hard to find a winning team. He leaves with our best wishes.

“The club will be running more teams next season as it restructures and refocuses on increasing its role as a local community club.

“The new manager will be an integral part of the club at a critical period of development.
