He said: “It’s important that we do not let the fact we are in the final for the first time in a while get to us.

“It would be easy for the players to turn up and freeze in what is a huge day for the club.

“But I have every confidence in my side that they will not do that.

“I am sure that whichever team I select will give their all for this club and, hopefully, we will be celebrating cup success come Monday afternoon.”

Arundel will go into the final in buoyant mood, following a fine final day league success.

The Mullets came out 2-1 victors in their last County League Division 1 game of the season against Dorking Wanderers.

Butler feels that his side’s impressive victory over promoted Wanderers will help them for the final.

He said: “That victory over Dorking will give us a great deal of confidence.

“To overcome a Ryman South side is fantastic and I’m sure that will be in the back of the players’ minds in the final.

“I’m going to have some really difficult decisions to make, with a few players not making the final team.

“That is going to be really hard to tell some of the squad they are not involved but those are the decisions that need to be made.”
