The Dons will visit EP on August 3 after they stayed in the Football League on the last day of the season in May.

That is the opening day of the Football League season but AFC Wimbledon will be sending a strong academy side, who have lost just five of their last 56 academy matches.

EP had their most successful season in the County League last campaign, when they finished third, won the Sussex RUR Cup for the first time and reached the semi-finals of the Sussex Senior Cup, when they were beaten by a last-minute goal by Brighton.

The club are looking to build on the success of last season and have organised some high-profile games as part of the pre-season build-up.

EP committee member Terry Doyle said: “We’re pleased with the matches we’ve got for pre-season as we look to build on last season.

“We finished third last year and we’ve got a good squad together, so we’ll try to win it this year.”
