Di Paola admits that EP’s pre-season has been “rubbish” so far, with a 6-1 defeat to Burgess Hill and 3-2 loss to Godalming among their results.

With the start of the County League season just over a week away, Di Paola is hoping he will have a full side to pick from on Saturday.

He said: “It should be a good game on Saturday and it’s one we’re looking forward to.

“We’ve been a bit all over the place in pre-season as we haven’t been able to play our first-choice 11 or have our first-choice 14 in the squad.

“With just over a week until the season starts, people are back from holidays and things now, as we’ve had so many unavailable throughout pre-season.

“Alex Duncan and Jordan Clark are also both away travelling and they’ll both make a big difference when they return.

“We’d been quite settled for the last two pre-seasons but it hasn’t been like that this year and Saturday will be our first game at home.

“We’re not looking to bring anyone else in now unless someone special becomes available – like when Mike Huckett did.”

Saturday’s game is a 3pm kick-off.

EP begin their County League Division 1 season at Crowborough on August 10.
