EP pick up first point of the campaign

EAST PRESTON Football Club earned their first point of the season when they drew 2-2 at home to Broadbridge Heath on Tuesday evening.

After 11 successive defeats in all competitions to start the season – including eight in the league – EP led 2-0 at half-time at home to Heath.

However, the visitors hit back and two goals in four minutes just past the hour denied East Preston their first victory of the season.

Alfie Gritt gave EP the lead with his seventh goal of the season on eight minutes.

Dan Huet then netted his fourth of the campaign to double East Preston’s lead five minutes before half-time.

Heath got a goal back through Scott Weller on 62 minutes, before Tiago Andrade levelled four minutes later.

Lancing continue to top the table, after a late 2-1 win away to Pagham on Tuesday.

East Preston travel to Eastbourne United on Saturday, before they entertain Worthing United in the second round of the Sussex RUR Cup on Tuesday.
