FA Cup hero signs new deal at Crawley Town

Crawley Town have announced that defender Nick Tsaroulla has signed a new two-year deal at the club with an option for a third year in the summer of 2023.

The Cypriot full-back has impressed for the Reds since making his competitive debut in a 2-1 win at AFC Wimbledon in the second round of the FA Cup in November.

The 22-year-old wrote his name into Crawley folklore when he netted the opening goal in the Reds' 3-0 home win over Premier League outfit Leeds United in the third round of the FA Cup in January.

The defender has made 17 appearances for Crawley in all competitions since signing for the club in October after impressing as a trialist in pre-season.

Manager John Yems said: “Nick’s worked very hard and deserves his contract at the club, I wish him all the best in the future here.”

Chief executive Erdem Konyar added: “Nick has had an exciting first year in his Crawley career, we are excited to see Nick grow and develop in a Crawley shirt and this is a great start to our pre-season.”
