Fenelon and Tomlin released by Crawley

Local lad Shamir Fenelon is the latest casualty in Crawley Town' summer clear out along with fellow forward Gavin Tomlin.

The strikers have been released by Reds and will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of June.

Former Thomas Bennett Community College student Fenelon, who joined Reds in 2015, made 32 appearances including 10 starts.

Tomlin, who has felt plenty of frustration from supporters this season, made 57 appearances including 43 starts after joining the club in 2014.

Head coach Dermot Drummy said: “Both Gavin and Shamir have been excellent pros since I came to the club.

“I’d like to thank them both for their services to Crawley Town and wish them all the best for the future.”

Reds released five players earlier this week with Andy Bond, Lee Barnard, Roarie Deacon, Lyle Della-Verde and Callum Preston all told they would not be offered new deals.
