Four out of four for slick Sidley

Sidley United have continued their perfect start to the football season.

The Blues made it four Sussex County League Division One victories out of four - all away from home - with four clean sheets thanks to a 1-0 win at St Francis Rangers on Saturday.

Although Paul Tuppenney had a penalty saved in the first couple of minutes and Sidley hit the post later in the first half, Lewis Hole’s first goal for the club at the start of the second period proved decisive.

Little Common conceded two late goals to lose 3-1 at home to Chichester City in another Division Two versus Division One tie. Stuart Collier bagged his first senior goal in Common colours.

Two penalties - one of which was highly contentious - near the end resulted in Bexhill United losing by the same score away to Southwick in Division Two. Dominic Clarke had made it 1-1 in the second half.
