FIFA have bowed to pressure to bring in goal-line technology in time for next year’s World Cup. Football’s governing body finally acted after the storm over Frank Lampard’s goal for England against Germany at South Africa 2010, which was wrongly ruled out. The system will be introduced this year at the Confederations Cup before making its debut in next summer’s finals in Brazil. (Sun)
