The Hungarian defender believes his side now have the look of an organised outfit at last.

The Blues have shown improving form and went to Leyton Orient on Tuesday night looking to hit their best run in over two years.

Defeat masked a performance which warranted a return at Matchroom Stadium, though.

But Gyepes feels that display allows momentum to be carried forward into Saturday’s trip to Doncaster.

The 31-year-old reckons Pompey would have been able to achieve something this season if the current side had been together for the whole campaign.

He said: ‘I think we now look like a proper team.

‘We are creating chances in every game. We weren’t able to say that two months ago.

‘Because of the situation we haven’t had time to build a team.

‘But now we are getting better and better.

‘If this team had played since the start of the season we could have been better.

‘But we’ve seen we can win games now.’

Gyepes stated Pompey go to top-of-the-table Doncaster this weekend with the pressure well and truly off them.

With eight games remaining this season there is little in the way of expectancy on caretaker boss Guy Whittingham’s side.

And the fact the team believe they are capable of creating chances means they can play with a smile on their faces.

He said: ‘We can enjoy our football when we go out on the pitch.

‘We know when we go out on the pitch we will show something now.’
