The U’s will continue their Ryman Football League Division One South campaign against new opposition in the form of South Park. Kick-off at The Pilot Field is 7.45pm.

Reigate-based South Park are enjoying a decent first season in the Ryman League having been promoted after winning the Combined Counties Football League last term.

South Park are currently in ninth place and are just three points outside the play-off spots with games in hand on the teams immediately above them.

United are eight places and eight points below their opponents having played an extra match, although a win tonight would move them up to 14th.

The U’s go into the fixture off the back of a 2-2 draw against bottom-of-the-table Walton Casuals on Saturday when Ade Olorunda came off the bench to earn them a point with an 84th minute equaliser only to be sent-off along with an opponent after the final whistle.

* The Hastings United FC Supporters’ Club, meanwhile, will be hosting a quiz night in the supporters’ clubhouse at The Pilot Field this coming Friday (November 28).

The cost is £2.50 per head with a maximum of four players per team and there will also be a raffle to help boost club funds.

A spokesman said: “If you are thinking of coming, do please be there prompt for 7.30pm so we can get the teams registered.

“We can promise an entertaining evening and it will be a little bit different from other quizzes so even if you don’t normally ‘do’ quizzes, please come along and give it a go. You may even enjoy it. No degree necessary, just regular attendance at The University of Life.”
