Hastings beaten by lowly Leiston

HASTINGS United became the first team to lose to Leiston in the Ryman Premier this season when they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Victory Road.

The home side - who went into the game having picked up only two points from their first five fixtures - stormed into a two goal lead inside 20 minutes through Danny Thrower and Rhys Henry.

Hastings player-manager Sean Ray halved the deficit but a 75th minute Gareth Heath strike sealed the win for the Suffolk side.
