The Ryman Football League Premier Division match had been set to go ahead, but with roads in this area becoming treacherous this evening, the decision was made to call it off.

United’s official Twitter feed just posted a message saying: “Have been advised that the Kingstonian game has had to be postponed as road travel has simply become too dangerous down this way.”

Simon Rudkins, United’s groundman, had previously Tweeted to say that he had travelled for an hour and not even made it out of Hastings due to the hazardous snowy conditions.

The postponement means yet another game for United to cram in during an already hectic end to the season. It now looks as though the U’s will have to play a couple of fixtures on Thursday nights just to get them all in by the end of April.

The last match of Sean Ray’s four-game ban will now carry over to the visit of Leiston on Saturday, a week after it was due to finish.

Hastings United’s remaining fixtures: Saturday Leiston (h), March 19 Harrow Borough (h), March 23 East Thurrock United (a), March 26 Met Police (h),
