The U’s will now travel to Maidstone United in round four of the Ryman Football League’s Robert Dyas Cup instead of heading to Whitstable Town in Division One South.

The scheduled Whitstable match has been called-off by the league to give the north Kent side “time to recover and prepare for their FA Trophy match” the following Saturday.

A supporters’ coach will depart The Pilot Field at 4.30pm and anybody wishing to board it should email hastingsutdsupportersclub@hotmail.co.uk. The cost is £10 for supporters’ club members, £12 for adults and £5 for under-18s.

United booked their place in the last 16 of the Robert Dyas Cup courtesy of an excellent 3-0 victory away to top half Premier Division team Margate last night. Second half goals from Bailo Camara (2) and Kenny Pogue did the damage.

John Maggs’s side will next be in action at home to Three Bridges in the league on Saturday when United will be eager to consolidate their place at the top of the table by preserving their unbeaten league record at The Pilot Field.
