Hastings net good win at Harrow

HASTINGS United made it six points out of six over the bank holiday weekend with a 1-0 win away to Harrow Borough.

Bradley Goldberg settled this Ryman Premier fixture with the only goal in the 47th minute, making no mistake with a neat finish beyond keeper Jamie Jackson after being put clean through.

Soon after, Zac Attwood wasted a great chance to double the lead by blazing over following good work by Dee Okojie.

Harrow threatened an equaliser but a goal-line clearance by Josh Jirbandey meant it was the U’s who returned home with their second win of the weekend after seeing off Wingate & Finchley on Saturday.

The first half had its moments with Danny Ellis and Okojie both being denied by Jackson, while Lee Carey had an effort blocked. At the other end, Matt Armstrong-Ford pulled off a great save to ensure the contest remained goalless.

Hastings: Armstrong-Ford, Cox, Manning, Jirbandey, Whitehead, Carey, Crellin, Ellis (Vickers), Okojie (Upton), Goldberg (Dixon), Attwood. Subs not used: Ray, Richardson.
