Hastings United Boss keen to strengthen the squad

Nigel Kane insists Hastings United’s squad has quality, but is keen to strengthen in a bid to secure Ryman Football League Division One South survival.

Only goal difference is keeping United above the relegation zone and they’ve won just twice since the turn of the year. The U’s have seven matches remaining.

United manager Kane said: “We may not have shown it on many occasions this season, but we’ve still got quality in the squad. We’ve still got a healthy budget at the club and we will continue to look to bring more fresh blood into the squad between now and the transfer deadline day at the end of the month.

“We’ve been dragged into a relegation battle and we’ve only got ourselves to blame for that. We’ve got to make sure we take points off the teams below us when we play them. We will be fighting to try and gain points from every game, and we’re capable of doing that.”
