Hastings United Women's game abandoned after serious injury to keeper

Hastings United Women's game with Woodingdean WFC has been called off due to a serious injury to the visitor's goalkeeper.

The game was stopped after the keeper fell awkwardly before Hastings United Women tweeted: "GAME ABANDONED After taking a shot the keeper has fallen awkwardly and looks to have hurt her neck. The ambulance is on route and we wish her a speedy recovery and a safe journey back to all at @WoodingdeanWFC."

Woodingdean thanked the medical staff for their support. They tweeted: "Thanks so much for your support. Both medical team and players for helping us out. A real credit to grassroots football."
