Head east next Thursday for a match featuring big names of football past... plus a celebrity dinner

Football fans in the Sussex Express publication area can enjoy a match featuring some of the biggest names in English football – followed by an enjoyable after-game celebrity dinner – if they make the short trip east to Bexhill next Thursday.

Bexhill United FC Are holding a very special footballing event on the evening of Thursday April 11 at the Polegrove in Brockley Road Bexhill On Sea.

An Ex-Pro/Celebrity team from the famous Lashings All Stars will be playing a Bexhill United XI. Lashings have confirmed their team will be managed by ex-West Ham and England player Tony Cottee and captained by Arsenal legend Perry Groves.

The team will also include ex-professional footballers like Kerry Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Mark Wright, Clayton Blackmore, Neil Webb, David Howells, Steve Claridge and many others. There will also be celebrities including TV star Ralf Little and chef Ainsley Harriott.

Tottenham/Liverpool and Celebrity Big Brother star Neil “Razor” Ruddock will be captain of the Bexhill Utd side which will be made up of Bexhill United veterans and other notable local players.

The club are working hard to make it a fun night for all which will include an opportunity for supporters to meet the ex-professional players and celebrities and get autographs/photo opportunities etc.

Gates open at 5pm with a 6pm kick off, adult admission £5, Under 16s £2, souvenir programmes £1.

Following the game the players and personalities from Lashings will be hosting a celebrity dinner and special auction in a luxury marquee at the Polegrove compared by comedian Scott Charlton.

The cost per person to attend this dinner is £45 per person which includes the admission fee to the game, or you get yourself your own table of 10 for £400.
