Hole at double as Sidley go fifth

Sidley United moved into the top five courtesy of a 3-1 win at home to AFC Uckfield last night (Wednesday).

Uckfield played the better football and dominated possession, but Sidley defended doggedly, worked tremendously hard and took their chances when they came along.

Scott McDonald gave Sidley a half time lead and Lewis Hole, pictured, doubled their advantage six minutes into the second half of the Sussex County League Division One fixture.

Uckfield pulled one back in the 59th minute through Jack Divall, but Sidley hung in there and sealed victory through Hole’s 87th minute header from a corner.
