In what proved their final game before the SCFL suspended the fixture list because of coronavirus, second half goals by Max Davies on 51 minutes and James Cowan, with another late winner, saw off Seaford, who had led 1-0 at the interval.

Selsey boss Daren Pearce said: “We played well against a strong and physical side in Seaford who came with a good record.

“On our own patch and on our day we are a match for anyone and the lads are now learning to deal better with certain matchday scenarios and how to manage games and teams trying to upset our rhythm.

“To the lads’ credit, we were good and played well – although we did go a goal down. We came out second half and equalised and then went on to get the winner near the end.

“It’s been a good week for the lads, with Saturday’s win following up Tuesday night’s 6-0 home win against Oakwood.”

On that occasion two goals apiece from Cowan and Davies plus strikes from subs Michael Baker and Cameron Jenkins saw off Oakwood.
