Horsham confirm busy pre-season schedule ahead of new campaign

Horsham have announced a busy pre-season schedule ahead of the upcoming 2021-22 Isthmian Premier Division season.

The Hornets will play nine friendlies in total, starting with a trip to National League South outfit Dorking Wanderers on Saturday, July 10.

Horsham will then travel to Hanbury Park to take on Haywards Heath Town on Tuesday, July 13.

Dominic Di Paola's side host near-neighbours Crawley Town on Saturday, July 17.

It will be a fixture played in familiar surroundings for Crawley. The Reds have been using the Hornets' home as a training base since 2019.

The two sides last met at the official opening of The Camping World Community Stadium two years ago.

Goals from Chris Smith and Kieran Lavery saw Horsham record a surprise 2-0 win over the Reds.

Following the visit of Crawley, the Hornets play host to Chichester City on Tuesday, July 20.

National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough will then travel to The Camping World Community Stadium on Saturday, July 24.

Horsham then hit the road to face Burgess Hill Town on Tuesday, July 27 before returning home to do battle with Metropolitan Police on Saturday, July 31.

Di Paola's charges visit East Grinstead Town on Tuesday, August 8, before they conclude their pre-season itinerary with a home game against Southern League Premier Division South side Hartley Wintney.

All Saturday fixtures will kick-off at 3pm. The Hornets' Tuesday night fixtures against Haywards Heath Town and Chichester City will kick-off at 7.45pm.

Horsham's visits to Burgess Hill Town and East Grinstead Town will kick-off at the slightly earlier time of 7.30pm.

Ticket details will be announced in due course, once clarification about spectators at non-league football matches is confirmed.
