Horsham Sparrows receive generous donation from police

A local football team has received a donation from a police charity fund.

Horsham Sparrows Football Club have received a cheque for £500 from police at Horsham, which is going to help fund the girls/Wildcats teams at the club.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from the sale of unclaimed lost property and property confiscated by order of the courts and then sold.

Simon King, secretary of Horsham Sparrows Football Club, said: “We are delighted to receive this cheque for £500 from the police fund.

"This will be used to promote the female game and train new female coaches for the girls and Wildcat teams here at the club.”
