Peter Buckland may be sick of the sight of the seaside town after playing there five times already this season – but despite travelling down for
the second consecutive Tuesday - it was a profitable trip.

Sam Schaaf fired the visitors ahead after 15 minutes against the league rivals, before Daniel Rogers equalised from a set-piece just past the hour mark.

YM, who played extra-time at their Peter Bentley Cup exit to Eastbourne United last Tuesday, must have been dreading a repeat, but Max Howell hit the winner with ten minutes remaining.

It should have been more convincing as Schaaf then missed a penalty and Matt Crane had an effort that looked over the line chalked off.

Buckland said: “All things considered, I am delighted with the performance and to come away with a win and pleased with a home draw in the next round.

“I am really proud of the boys as I rested a few of the senior players and took the opportunity to bring some other players in.

“I think the scoreline flattered them to be honest. We contrived to miss another penalty at 2-1 and had one ruled out that never was.

“It’s an achievement getting there really anyway. It’s a devilish journey and we have done it five times already. We are meant to be playing them again next Saturday and that’s the FA Vase, so that will be another Tuesday night.
