Horsham YMCA boss Buckland disappointed by ‘worst performance of season’
Horsham YMCA’s 3-1 home defeat to Lingfield on Saturday ranked as one of the club’s worst performances of the season, according to their disappointment manager Peter Buckland afterwards.
Charlie Girdler’s 53rd minute header for the hosts had cancelled out Danny Oakins’ first-half opener, but two more defensive mistakes soon after gifted Oakins a second and Louis Gallagher a third for the visitors.
YM did have two good penalty shouts turned down as they looked to get back into the match, but afterwards boss Buckland admitted he had got his tactics wrong in the first half.
