They host local rivals Loxwood this weekend, who sit two places above them in ninth position in the Premier Division.

YM are hoping to bridge the 11-point gap to sixth place in their remaining 15 games with manager Peter Buckland calling on his team to play for pride in the back-end of the campaign.

He said: “There are still 15 games to go, although it feels like we limping across the finishing line. Apart from the top three or four teams it is a case of playing for pride. We are still aiming for a top-six finish and you only need to put a run together of four or five games on the bounce to do that.”

Sam Schaaf is back to full fitness, but the lay-off has done nothing to aid the returns of the injured Matt Crane, Tom Gilbert, Luke Gedling and Matt Simpson. YM did keep in action with a friendly during their break as they ended Redhill’s 13-game undefeated run.
