It's no mauling but Bosham are beaten in the Bears' pit

Bosham travelled to the Bears' pit at Broadbridge heath but couldn't bring down the curtain on their Sussex league third-division season with a win - going down 3-1.

The hosts looked sharp and Jamal Sultan caused problems for Bosham down the left.

Spencer Stent was forced to clear off his own line to keep it goalless.

Sultan opened the scoring when cutting in from the left and delivering a powerful shot which was deflected in.

Marco Giambelardini was Bosham’s first-half star and he brought the best out of keeper Michael Chester as the Robins.

Just after the half-hour the Blues doubled their lead when Martyn Flack converted a low cross after great work from Sultan.

Just after the hour, Graeme Dowden gave Bosham hope with a sublime finish from the edge of the area. Michael Wood finished off a swift counter-attack to secure the win.
