Wanderers went into the game still with a chance of winning the title but defeat to Mullets saw those hopes ended.

Scott Tipper struck from the penalty spot on 18 minutes and, after Dorking equalised, Lewis Jenkins netted three minutes into injury-time to ensure Mullets took all three points.

Both sides cancelled each other out in the opening 15 minutes but the home side were then gifted a perfect opportunity to go ahead.

Max Thoms worked his way into the visitors area and he was upended by Chris Boulter, which left the referee with no option but to point to the spot.

Tipper stepped up and coolly slotted the penalty into the top corner to net his 34th goal of the campaign.

Arundel continued to dominate in the remainder of the half and they should have gone further ahead on 30 minutes. Jordan Clark’s whipped free kick found Jenkins but he side-footed over from six yards.

Wanderers went in at the break knowing that, if they failed to find a goal in the second period, they would have no hope of lifting the title.

With that in mind, the visitors were much improved and posed a serious threat in the final 45 minutes.

James Duff slotted in Luke Pidgeon, who saw his shot hit a post ten minutes after the break.

Dorking then introduced Taser Hasan and he was immediately involved in the action. He received the ball wide on the right and went on a jinking run, only to see his shot saved by the feet of Arundel keeper Sam Marsden.

Dorking should have been level on 68 minutes but Charlie Pitcher somehow managed to fire over from just three yards out.

Pitcher did not let that miss affect him, though, and he latched on to Hasan’s cross three minutes later to make it 1-1.

The visitors piled men forward in search of a late winner but this would prove to be their downfall.

Mullets’ Josh Biggs was sent clear down the right and he squared the ball to the edge of the area for Jenkins, who side-footed home three minutes into injury-time.
