Junior football: Worthing too hot for Bognor

After Bosham and Worthing's under-14s greeted each other with a quick round of elbow bumps, in what was to prove the sides' final game before the widespread postponement of football, the visitors dominated early on but Bosham looked good at times with some nice passages of play.

Alvin Siby was a threat for Bosham down the left, linking well with Charlie Bennetts, but Bosham invited pressure from Worthing by playing deep.

Worthing took advantage with two goals in ten minutes.

After going 2-0 down Bosham struggled to make an impact. Coach Charlie Ellis Northwood introduced Isaac Semedo and Alfie Wilsher Clarke and switched to 4-4-2 which helped to get the impressive Barney McLarnon further up the pitch.

Bosham came out after the break with renewed vigour and dominated the second half. Joe Robinson and James Neal came off the bench and Josh Edwards and Charlie Fuidge were pushed forward.

Despite an excellent second half performance, time ran out for Bosham.
