Lancing suffer setback - Littlehampton goal fest continues - Shoreham win again

Ben Connolly’s strike cancelled out Horley’s opener but the Lancers conceded a late own goal to condemn to their second SCFL premier defeat of the campaign.

It leaves them fifth, seven points behind early pacesetters AFC Uckfield Town.

Lancing will look to get back to winning ways when they go to Little Common on Saturday.

At the other end of the table, it was a disastrous Tuesday night for East Preston as they crashed to an 8-0 loss at home to Saltdean.

EP are one off the bottom and still looking for their first league win six games into the campaign.

They face a basement battle away to bottom side Broadbridge Heath at the weekend.

Steyning are 17th after a 2-1 reverse at Crawley Down Gatwick.

In division one the goals continue to flow for Littlehampton Town – their 5-1 win at Arundel means they have scored an incredible 28 goals in their first five.

Yet it’s only goal difference that keeps them top, with Bexhill also having won all five so far.

Arundel sit 12th but have only played three games.

Mile Oak’s excellent division one start continued with a 2-1 success at Storrington. They are third.

Shoreham and Worthing United are eighth and nine after the Mussels beat United 1-0 at Middle Road.
