Leaders make it 12 out of 12

Social made it 12 league wins out of 12 with a 3-0 victory over in-form Ore Athletic on Saturday, although the match was a lot closer than the score would suggest. 

Colton Alleyne-Davis fired Social ahead after 15 minutes and Sean Noble converted a contentious penalty five minutes later. Social sealed the points 10 minutes from time when Alleyne-Davis bagged his second of the afternoon. 

Elsewhere in the top flight, bottom club Robertsbridge United edged out Battle Baptists 1-0 to move level on points with their victims and Ninfield United. The all-important goal came in the 55th minute from another disputed penalty, tucked away by Paul Barnes.

 Sedlescombe Rangers moved up a place to fifth after coming from behind to win 3-1 at home to Iden. The visitors opened the scoring through Chris Gould only for Liam Foster to restore parity before half time with a shot from the edge of the box. 

Sedlescombe came out a different side after the interval and following a bout of pressure, Toby Hicks gave them the lead. Pip Hatch put the outcome beyond doubt with Sedlescombe’s third. 

Peche Hill Select are now five points clear of the relegation positions after seeing off a depleted Ninfield United side 3-0 away from home. 

The Rock-a-Nore versus Hollington United game wasn’t played as the Rocks couldn’t raise a side. 

The unbeaten record of Division One leaders Mountfield United was ended by a 1-0 defeat to Sidley United. The decisive moment of a very even contest came with just over 10 minutes left when Will Dunstall snatched the winner for an improving Sidley side. 

Hawkhurst United consolidated second place and are now just a point behind the leaders after defeating Wadhurst United 2-0. In an entertaining match, the division’s highest scorer Danny Mcgahan got the opener with Olly Lawrence bagging the second. 

The battle of the bottom two ended in a 1-1 draw between Icklesham Casuals and Sandhurst. Phil Badrock opened the scoring for Casuals after just 20 seconds - the quickest goal scored in the league this season - but Guy Ballard’s second half equaliser rescued a point for Sandhurst.
