Lions loving life at the top ... others slip to Sussex League defeats

Pagham remain on course to finish in a highly-creditable second place in division one of the Sussex League.

Their latest victory came at Rye, where they won 3-1 to stay a point clear of Three Bridges. Crawley Down need just two points to secure the league title.

Chichester lost an entertaining Oaklands Park clash with Hassocks 2-1, while Selsey went down 5-2 at home to Lingfield.

It was a familiar story for Midhurst in division two - they lost 1-0 at Little Common.

And Bosham’s inconsistencies were back to hurt them again as they lost 2-1 at home to Haywards Heath on the day Dorking were confirmed as winners of the third-division title that went to Walton Lane a year ago.

Barnham moved third in the same division with a 3-0 win at Sidlesham.
