Tim Sherwood will take charge of Tottenham Hotspur’s Capital One Cup quarter final against West Ham United on Wednesday and could even stay on as an unlikely caretaker manager until the end of the season. The club have yet to speak to any other prospective managerial candidates after sacking Andre Villas-Boas this morning and may give Sherwood the opportunity to prove his credentials over several matches.
