Locadia challenged to score more goals for Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton feels the only thing missing from Jurgen Locadia's game in recent weeks has been goals.

The Dutch striker has started Albion's last ten matches in all competitions. He scored against Arsenal and Everton in December but has not found the back of the net since, although he twice went close against Watford on Saturday.

Locadia was Brighton's club record signing when he signed from PSV Eindhoven for a reported £14m fee last January and has since scored four goals in 30 matches.

On the forward's recent performances, Hughton said: "I've been delighted with Jurgen and probably the only thing that he could have put on top of his performances is goals.

"He scored two in his first two games and has been in some good positions.

"That would be the next bit for him, to keep giving us what he's been giving us in that shape.

"He knows the system very well and gets himself into some good positions but it's maybe just improving on that end product."
