His long-range 92nd minute strike completed an unlikely fightback to win 4-3 having been 3-1 down with 25 minutes to go.

Martin Flack gave Heath the lead which became 1-1 at half-time through a goal by Arundel’s Alex Biggs,

Arundel then scored twice in 15 minutes through David Herbert and Asa Nicholson to get to the verge of victory.

In the 90th minute, Piers McDermott reduced the lead to 3-2, finishing off his own run into the box with an individual goal.

Mutungi then sealed victory in incredible style through his brilliant last-gasp strike which flew into the top of the net from outside the area.

Painter said: “I felt sorry for them (Arundel) at the end after being 3-1 to end up losing. However they did something similar last year winning with two late goals.

“It was unbelievable, a screamer from around 28 yards which gave the ‘keeper no chance.

“You can’t plan for what Martin did - he’d only been on the pitch for ten minutes.

“As long as he keeps doing that kind of thing I haven’t got a problem.

“Neither side deserved to lead at half-time and 1-1 was a fair reflection of first half.

“They dominated the first 20 minutes of the second half and went 3-1 up but with 25 minutes to go we changed formation from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2 to get some width into the game and get some balls up top.

“The changes gave more freedom in midfield and allowed things to happen.

“We introduced Dean Robinson who was a handful and Mutungi with 15 minutes to. It made a difference and we were winning balls in the air and crossing balls into the box.

“The conditions were not conducive to good football.

“We had a goal disallowed for off-side which should never have been disallowed.

“However, it was like the (battle of the) Alamo in the end and when we drew level I was confident we would nick it.”
