Match preview: Hull City v Brighton

Brighton have been given a welcome fitness boost ahead of their Championship bow at Hull City tomorrow.

Both Kazenga Lua Lua and Craig Mackail-Smith have been declared fit after the pair missed the Albion’s disappointing Capital One League Cup exit at the hands of Swindon earlier in the week.

Lua Lua had been suffering from a tight hamstring while Mackail-Smith missed out on joining up with Scotland because of pain in his lower back.

Both should be in the match day squad for tomorrow’s trip to the KC Stadium.

Winger William Buckley is on the mend after falling foul of a hamstring trouble but is likely to miss the game – instead being held back to let loose on Cardiff City next week at the first Amex fixture of the season.

The Seagulls will be looking to end a dreadful run of away results which has seen them not win on the road in the league since February 11. A point would represent the club’s 500th away league draw.

The home team will likely start with Aaron McLean in attack in place of missing Matty Fryatt. The former Posh frontman has been linked with a move to the Albion to link up with his one time striking partner Mackail-Smith.
