The all-action midfielder has joined Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One side Bexhill from Premier Division high-flyers Eastbourne Town.

Bexhill manager Marc Munday said: “It’s a fantastic signing and I’m really excited to have him on board. I rate Gordon highly and I’ve always liked playing with him. He works as hard as anyone in the side and leads by example, and in recent years he’s been a goalscorer as well.”

Prior to joining Westfield in summer 2011, Cuddington was a Bexhill player for several seasons, and helped the club win the Sussex Intermediate Cup and Sussex Division Three Challenge Cup in 2008. Bexhill also clinched promotion that year after finishing runners-up in the league behind Loxwood.

Cuddington is expected to go straight into Bexhill’s squad for the trip to third-placed Storrington this coming Saturday. Allan McMinigal should also be available, but Anthony Cooper and Sam Cooper are still injured.

Bexhill will be aiming to end a run of three straight defeats, the last two of which have been somewhat unfortunate, against a Storrington side which they beat 2-1 in October’s reverse fixture.
