More joy for Hastings

The feelgood factor sweeping over Hastings United at present continued with an improbable victory tonight (Tuesday).

United came from behind with 10 men to win 3-2 at home to Enfield Town in their first Ryman Football League Premier Division home fixture since the opening day of September.

Zac Attwood, the hero of Saturday’s FA Cup win at Bishop’s Stortford, gave the U’s a half time lead by sweeping home Bailo Camara’s pull-back in the 45th minute.

But Enfield equalised less than two minutes into the second period through a lovely solo goal by Tyler Campbell, who then laid on the visitors’ second for Lee White at the end of a slick 58th minute counter-attack.

United substitute Tom Vickers was shown a straight red card with around 20 minutes remaining following a clash just outside the away penalty area with Enfield captain Mark Kirby, who was booked.

Attwood did brilliantly to beat two players on the right and present Camara with a simple tap in for the 80th minute equaliser and Josh Jirbandey won it five minutes later with a delightful curler from the edge of the D.
