Warden Park had a 2-0 advantage midway through the 1st half though the goal difference could have been much greater with Warden Park missing chance after chance along with a penalty. Within a minute of this miss, Tanbridge scored a goal direct from a corner, narrowing the advantage and bringing them back into the game. At half time, the game was poised at 2-1 to Warden Park.

In the second half, play evened out and Tanbridge grew stronger, first equalising then taking the lead 3-2.

The Warden Park girls showed great determination and character to fight back and then edge ahead 4-3.

With just one minute to go a long throw went into the box and a Tanbridge striker hammered the ball home to make it 4-4 at the final whistle. Extra time did not produce a winner and it was only after an incredible 18 penalties and some excellent goalkeeping that Warden Park secured a win, 2-1 on penalties.
