Most complete performance, says Hastings boss

Darren Hare felt his Hastings United team produced its 'most complete performance' of the season in last night's win over Greenwich Borough.

Second half goals from Kiernan Hughes-Mason, Frannie Collin and Jack Harris gave United a 3-0 victory at home to fourth-placed Greenwich in Ryman Football League Division One South.

United manager Hare said: "It was a great performance last night, probably our most complete performance of the season. I thought 3-0 flattered us a little bit, but I was really pleased.

"Everybody had to play their part in the win. First half we had to defend resolutely and I was really proud of the players for that. We've got to defend properly and I thought we did that.

It was United's first win this season over a team in the top 10 of the league table and they brought up a half-century of league goals from just 15 matches.

"I think we answered all our critics last night," Hare added. "On our day we can beat anyone in the division, home or away."

United are running coaches to their next two games, leaving The Pilot Field at 11.30am on Saturday for the trip to Horsham and 4.30pm next Tuesday for the match at Faversham Town.
