New joint boss and string of players signed by Tigers

Saltdean United have a new management set-up in place – and have already secured the services of a number of players.

Agreements with existing squad members and new faces have been announced following news that former AFC Uckfield Town manager Anthony Storey will be joint first-team manager alongside Bryan O’Toole for 2010-21.

Shaun Loft, also from AFC Uckfield, has joined as assistant manager and former AFC Uckfield players Ba Camara and Phil Hawkins have accepted player/coach roles at the club.

Those announcements preceded news that ex-AFC Uckfield skipper Richie Welch has committed to the Tigers and is joined in making the move by midfielder Ellis Cormack.

Most Popular

Veteran defender Andy Pearson, Charlie Farmer, Josh Hayburn, Dee Okoje, Billy Collings, George Hayward, Matt Maclean and Callum Smith have agreed to play for Saltdean next season.

The Tigers were 18th in the SCFL premier division when football was suspended.

Their appointments follow news last week that Graeme Mintrim and Steve Ives are to be new joint bosses at AFC Uckfield.
